St Pancras Renaissance Hotel London opened in London’s Kings Cross in May 2011 with 245 guest rooms following a £150 million renovation by Manhattan Loft Corporation in conjunction with London & Continental Railways. The restoration of this Grade 1 listed building successfully marries the original lavish design of the former Hotel with a vibrant, urban edge to create a beautiful, modern hotel.

The original St Pancras railway station and Midland Grand Hotel were designed and built by Victorian Architect Sir George Gilbert Scott in 1873. Before the restoration the building was in an advanced state of disrepair and it took a dedicated team of specialist contractors years of hard work, patience and immense skill to bring this iconic building back to life. Castlebrook was proud to be a key member on this team working alongside Harry Handelsman of Manhattan Loft Corporation and an expert team from GA Design.

Sweeping awards across the board the hotel was both the Overall Winner and also the Best Refurbishment of the Year at the European Hospitality Awards 2011.
